What should I do? -Class Schedule

Here's what it looks like now...
MWF: Spanish 9:30-10:20
Atmospheric Science 10:30-11:20
BREAK
Speech 1:30-2:20
Chem 2:30-3:20
TR: English 8-9:15
T: Chem lab 2-4:50
R: Freshmen Class 9:30-10:20

OR I could get an easier Spanish teacher and my schedule would look like this...

MWF: Atmospheric Science 10:30-11:20
BREAK
Speech 1:30-2:20
Chem 2:30-3:20
Spanish 3:30-4:20
TR: English 8-9:15
T: Chem lab 2-4:50
R: Freshmen Class 9:30-10:20

What would you do? Easier teacher, but more classes back to back, or leave it like it was. Or should I try to completely re-do my schedule since I have so many classes on MWF? Any experienced college students have advice? I have a pretty light load on tuesdays and thursdays. I have 17 credit hours there.
R: Freshmen Class 9:30-10:20

I personally prefer to have my class schedule formatted where all my classes are back to back, etc.

I also like my days to be balanced out. That is, 3 classes one day, 3 classes the other. I don’t like having the majority of my courses taken all on certain days, and nothing for other days.

Good luck.

I like the first one better since I like finishing classes ASAP in the day but I have three back to back 1 and a half hour classes at the moment every day and it’s perfectly fine. Yours aren’t even an hour lol.

And you have a break for lunch which I don’t even have so the second one isn’t bad.

^ I agree with comic lover. I also like having my classes early in the day, afternoon so that I have no obligations later in the day. So I can relax, do homework, or chill if I want to/ have to.

Thanks for the help! Am I in over my head taking 17 credit hours as a freshman? The max is 18 at my school.

Looks to me that you’re taking 5 classes in addition to some freshman class and a lab.

I think that is a bit much for a first-time freshman. This is your first semester; you should maybe drop a class and push it to the next semester; use the time that you would save to enjoy your time on campus, to get adjusted to college life, and to meet as many people as you possibly can.

I won’t be surprised if you’ll find yourself studying/working a lot. Though this schedule is of course, do-able, and I’m not saying that you’re not capable of managing well and doing it, but I do think you are over your head, in that this course load is unnecessary for your first semester.
