What should I do during the summer?

I’m a junior and I have nothing to do during the summer. I was originally planning to go to my host parent’s friend’s chemistry lab and volunteer/write a research paper. But she told me last weekend that she’s moving to another state. I didn’t even search for any summer programs because I had my mind set on going to the lab.

I don’t have any extra curricular activities so this summer is crucial. I want to major in chemistry. So what should I do? I’m thinking about teaching math to some kids for free as volunteer work. Or should I go back to Korea?(I’m an international student) Are there any summer programs left? My main issue is EC for college. I don’t know if this’ll help but I have a 35ACT. HELP ME

You could look for a internship in your area in Chemistry? Participate in science fairs or competitions during the summer even if it has not started like make your project/research. Explore your interests and immerse yourself in what you find interesting.
