What should I do for the 'summers' section?

My personal statement covers most of what I would write in this section, and they do say to write it if its not already covered in the common app. But, it is a mandatory field, so I'll have to put something there.
So my question is: Should I write very little since it will be redundant? Or will not filling it out disadvantage me, and should I try to explore a different perspective of my summers?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

This section need not be about the work you have done. You can also say something like traveling, relaxing, etc.

This section will not make or break your application, but it will reveal what kind of person you are.

My son wrote two or three sentences at the most since most of the information was found elsewhere in the application, and he was admitted.

I’m going to submit mine soon. It’s a little less than 1,000 characters and it sounds pretty weak in my opinion. Most of the things I did during the summer weren’t particularly outstanding (although I was dedicated to and spent a lot of time on them). But like MeIsHM said, I don’t think it will make or break your application.
