I am a good student and do well, but during my Junioir year I have failed Honors Pre-Calc and was wondering would this affect me hard. Another concern of mine is that my report card gets mailed out on June 28th, and I didn't tell my parents that I have failed yet, but told them I have had hard time in that class and that I really did try hard. Should I go tell them now? I don't want them to be like if you knew so why didn't you tell us. I need a parents advise so please let me know. My currently weighted GPA is 88.8921.

Please help me out.

This are my grades for Pre-Cal through out this year.

I mean, there’s only so muchyou can do once the grades go out. My advice is try telling your parents beforehand to lessen the shock, though honestly once they find out it probably won’t be pretty. When it comes to college applications, if your grades have otherwise been excellent, you’ll still have a good chance at many schools. You could try justifying it in apps if you have a diagnosed learning disability, or possibly (and somewhat more riskily) say you learned a lesson (this would be reinforced if you retook the course and passed with a high grade. What do your SATs look like?

Thanks for the advise. On the SAT I still have to take it again. And anything below a 69 is an F
