What should I do if there are no close AP test centers?

I know my thread doesn't fit into "AP Tests Preparation" but there was no other place to write as far as I know so please understand it..

I am studying 4 AP subjects by myself since my school doesn't offer any.

I was looking for AP test centers and realized that there are no close centers to my house.
The closest AP test centers are almost 2 hours far away from my house.
And I do home-stay (living with other American family), so I can't ask them to drive me on every test dates. (I don't have a car..........dang it!!!!!!!!!)

In this case, what should I do?
Am I just wasting my time for preparing for AP?

Please share you thoughts with me guys and gals!!

Unfortunately, you have no choice but to go to the nearest test center. Have you registered for the tests yet?

How fast can you bike? (lol, jk)

I wish I can fly…dang… I didn’t register yet. I was going to register and found out that test centers are too far…
I was planning to take AP courses to take college courses next year … and all things are screwed up;; I hate rural area :frowning:
Seriously, no way to solve this problem? dang…

Go to your high school’s guidance office or principal’s office and ask for help. Someone will step up and help you find a solution. If you lived in my small rural town I’d drive you at least one day.

Good point but my school really doesn’t care about AP. My school coordinator doesn’t even know what is AP like lol. She just works as coordinator since no one else to take that position.
Anyway, will colleges think me as a decent guy if I only take AP classes(through online) and not take AP exams and explain them why I couldn’t take it?
Can’t believe this is happening to me :(

see if you can take a bus and then stay in a hotel or something… or a taxi? or an airport shuttle bus? or a horse?

Can you take a bus or train or subway?

no subway(definitely) and no bus as far as I know.
Only way to take AP is to stay at testing center for four days… but It will cost a lot
and I don’t wanna skip school bcoz AP testing week is preparation week for my final test. (My school has quite early final comparing to other public schools)

if you have absolutely no way of getting to a testing center then you are out of luck.

I guess so… then if I want to appeal my academic challenge, how should I do?
I mean if I don’t take AP exams, many colleges cannot think I took decent AP online classes because I don’t have scores! I was thinking about doing independent study(through MIT open course) from now… how does it sound?
