What should I do if...

I just got rejected from all the professors I emailed for internships?
I only emailed professors from Stanford, as I live in the SF bay area, and its less convenient to deal with living expenses if I need to travel.
What other labs are there around Silicon Valley and the Peninsula area that may take high school students for interns?
My interests include neuroscience (i.e. depression and Alzheimer's), cancer (leukemia and brain tumors), stem cells, and genetic disorders.

Are there any summer programs in neuroscience that allow students to do their own research?

P.S. I am a rising junior (current sophomore) in high school

Internships for High School students are hard to come by especially if your just a rising junior

Did you send each professor a cover letter, resume, etc or was it only an email asking about internship opportunities?

@SeattleBulldog: yeah, I kind of realized that already. That’s why I emailed professors.
@MomentumA7: I incorporated my resume into my email, since most of the activities I do are science related. I didn’t include my non science activities…

buuuummmmpppp

bumpppp anyone?
