Maybe someone would come up with a good plan for my last two weeks before the exam? I am ambivalent; I cannot decide what at this stage is more important: practice or theory? I have been practicing and doing practice tests since end of the January. Here is my plan for last two weeks. You, dearer reader, are more than welcome to edit or change it.

1) Completely memorize 6 lists (every single word):
a. Direct Hits 2011
b. Rocket Review 323
c. Hit Parade 250
d. Barron's HF 365
e. Barron's HP 175
f. SparkNotes 1000

It looks like an insane plane; however, because english isn't my native language and I am not voracious reader, I am really worried about my vocabulary. Moreover, once I memorized Barron's HF, other lists were much easier to memorize; it was because 70-80% of words in each list are generally the same.

2) Do some hard Math questions. I am very eager to find some hard SAT I math question that I wouldn't know how to solve. Still I will practice math separately.

3) WR. I have been reading a couple of 12 essays; therefore, I have ideas how it should look like. As for WR MC, I am bad at imp. paragraphs questions.

So my final question would be should I dedicate all 2 weeks for practice? Or should I learn dozens of vocabulary and then make 4-5 practice tests?

Thanks in advance!

If your short on time i would say definately focus on Direct Hits and the Hit Parade. I used the Hit Parade alone and…almost all the words were on it… I only got 2 sentence completions wrong when before I memorized the list I would get 6-8 wrong. My friend also reccomended DH is apparently AMAZING.

^
I have already finished both the Direct Hits 2011 and Hit Parade. That wasn’t actually my question; my question was what is more important, practice or theory? (not in general, but at this degree)

^
So do you think that memorizing vocabulary and doing some review is pointless at this degree?

I think practice is more important this late in the game. I improved my score from around a 1700 to a 2100 in just four days just by taking practice tests of one subject at a time. For example, I would dedicate a day to taking CR tests, a day to Math, and a day to writing.

After taking each practice test, I would check my answers and then do a step that most other people forget to do which would be to see WHY I got the question wrong. I’m not saying that the questions repeat themselves but there are definitely similarities between what kind of questions they ask you (especially for the long passage ones!)

Since my weakness are the sentence completions, I need to start memorizing words. Since you’ve obviously memorized many words already, getting familiar with the test and the types of questions would be a good place to begin.

Good luck!

Wow! That was a great response. Thank you very much!
