i have taken the sat and i got a 2240 (800 cr, 660 math, 780 w) and i have also taken the sat II lit two times and got a 700 and a 660. so now i have the october and november test dates before applications are due and i am wondering what people think i should do. i definitely intend on take math sat 2, but should i also retake lit for a third time? also should i use both october and november for the sat 2 incase i do not do well the first time taking them or should i use one of those dates to take the sat 1 again given my low math score. i am aiming at high level schools like berkeley, wash u, tufts, and yale (i have connections at yale).
thanks in advance

My advice is to not take lit; it’s unlikely your score will go up a lot after two times taking it. I also recommend taking the SAT1 again. If you’ve only taken it once, there’s a high chance your scores will improve.

Did you study either time for the Literature subject test? If you plan on taking Math Level II anyway, you might as well sign up for another test on that date. Prepare all you can for the Literature test. But prepare extra well for math, it could compensate for your low SAT I score.

If you felt you did your best on the Lit test your first two times, then find another SAT Subject Test that you think you can do well on and take that instead. A 700 isn’t terrible.

Your SAT I isn’t bad, but I would recommend taking it one more time. Focus on the math section when preparing.

So basically, I would recommend using one test date for the SAT IIs and one date for the SAT Reasoning test.
