What should I do now?

Just some background information on my situation.

I was pretty smart in high school ie got a 4.0 and a 2100 on the SATs and took various AP classes.

My first year of college at a Top 30 school was ok. I was in the College of Engineering. However, college was a huge change and my grades suffered. I pulled off a 2.8. I didn't do too well in Calculus and for other reasons transferred out to the College of Liberal Arts.

I started sophomore year as a Chemistry major. However, I got Cs in Orgo and Bio. But I was doing better so I stuck with the major.

First semester of junior year was ok. However, I absolutely bombed second semester. I got basically straight Cs.

I really don't know what to do. I enjoy the material that I'm being taught and I study well.

Where do I even go from here? I really don't want to take a year off or anything. Will anyone hire me after graduation? What can I even do after graduation?

Any advice is appreciated.

What do you want to do in life?

You don’t study well if you’re getting Cs.

I think employers and/or grad schools would want to see an upper trend after your bad start and you haven’t really done that. Try and get an internship of some kind if you can for the summer and maybe get some kind of lab assistant/research job during the school year. With regards to schoolwork, figure out what went wrong this semester and don’t let it happen senior year and finish strong. You can’t go back and change anything; all you can really do is your best from here on out, and if you do that I think you’ll be fine.
