Hi,
I am a freshman nontraditional student. I am a polisci major. I missed the deadline to take the math placement test because my test was removed for some reason (I do not even know why). I had to find this out while I was already on proctor u with a proctor there watching.
I won’t be able to take the test again until my junior year, which is obviously not going to work.
Because I am a polisci major with no placement results, I will have to take really remedial classes until I can get Calc or at least Stats and be able to take a natural science course.
I am freaking out because this is going to take up time I could be using to focus on my degree program classes and because I think it will look awful if I have these remedial classes in my transcript.
I am a nontraditional student (25, out of college since 19 because of a severe illness) who has never been strong in math and had a less than stellar math education in HS.
Will schools like Smith, George Washington University, Boston University, Amherst College, and NYU even consider me if I had to take basic maths until I could take a higher level stats or calc?
