OP, just throwing this out there, apply to the schools u want of course, but i recommend atleast checking out cornell, as its architecture program is outstanding, certainly more renown than Penn's and possibly more than columbia's

To OP, when I mean get involved with a sport, martial art, music, art, etc. you have to be PASSIONATE about it. I have done martial arts and music for over 10 years each because I was/am PASSIONATE about both (more like obsessed with martial arts). Of course it isn't just about padding your resume. Choose activities/sports/arts that will last a life time. Just find something you enjoy that is a sport and something you enjoy that is an art (doesn't have to be music). If you don't, they will probably count it against you becuse you are Asian (and they already think that Asians are uncreative because of the stupid, insulting stereotype of us Asians as uncreative 2400 SATers).

This is strange. Two years on, and how I’ve changed. I figured I’d look at my first CC post just to take a trip down memory lane and I came across this gem again. It’s strange to see that the person I was two years ago is the type of person that ticks me off to now end nowadays. My interests have realigned drastically, too. What was once a fervent pursuit for a career in architecture has transformed into a love for political science. I’ve followed my passions and have really only done things that I truly love to do throughout my high school so far. What’s great is I’m only halfway through my Sophomore year, and I have a lot of things that I want to get done before I go on my merry way to college. This thread actually opened my previously veiled and super-azn eyes to what I should really be focusing on in high school- what I love. So thank you, anonymous CC users, for actually changing my high school experience (for the better)!
