<p>I'm so bummed about my new SAT scores....what can I do between now and app time to increase my chances of getting in?
SAT I - (highest scores in 2 tries) M690, CR620, W680 (1990 total)
GPA - 4.6/4.0 IB student
Varsity Soccer (state finalists) starter all years, Varsity swimmer all years, lots of volunteer work (some leadership there), Club Secretary....

any suggestions? Does JHU take only the highest scores?</p>
<p>Yes, JHU will take the highest scores. If you're really interested in JHU then show some interest by going on some campus tours, get an interview, and keep in touch with admissions representatives. Also make sure your essays and recs are good...they are important for admission.</p>
<p>My SATs were higher but my GPA was significantly lower (I'm talking unweighted). I think the essays were really key to getting accepted, so really put some effort into them, and make them "real," not some BS that you're writing just to try to get in (they can tell). Good luck!</p>
