I have been checking my window for my application and everything is in except for my teacher recommendation. My teacher told me he sent it in the snail mail 8 days ago. I looked up the average mailing time, and it's about 5-7 days. I'm starting to get really worried that something went wrong in the mail... what should I do? Am I just being paranoid... I mean they could've received it but not updated the window... ugh I just want to know if I'm in!

Your teacher recs need to be postmarked by the date the application is due, not received. Calm down you’re fine

It’s just that the school that I’ve applied to has rolling ED admissions, so the sooner everything is in the sooner I get the decision… I just don’t want any set backs:D

Bump please! Should I email admissions?

If average mailing time is 5-7 days, you must be international? Allow at least 14 days after the mailing date before you contact the school. It takes time for schools to catalog and update their records to show what they’ve received. If your teacher had the right address, no doubt the rec is there by now or will arrive today. Be calm. Go about living your life. Do not bug the school just yet.

No… Wisconsin. I looked up the average mailing date online. I think I’m going to email them this Friday if it is still not marked. I definitely do not want to bother them… it’s just me obsessing too much lol. Thank you for the advice!
