i am a sophmore in highschool and i got Ds for both chemistry and Algebra2 my councler i can make them up senior or junior year. i was thinking i could make it them up senior year but how will that affect my College acceptences? Will i have to go to a community college? i am planning on going to a cal state.

I would just buckle down and get the grades up. I’ve heard that alot of schools dont mind bad grades in the beginning if you show some solid improvement. I shows some mental fortitude that you can come back and do well

Can you do it over the summer? Get a tutor or go to a program? Most schools will let you take summer school if you pay, and that way you wouldn’t have to delay anything.

Absolutely make up the courses. Additionally, take similar courses and try to receive better grades in them, perhaps PreCalc and Physics would be good options. If that doesn’t seem to come together though, I recently visited a CSU in southern California (San Fernando Valley area) called Channel Islands. The system is trying to grow the school and thus said they are planning on accepting every applicant with a 3.0 and above in the coming years. So if you manage to keep above a 3.0 it might be a nice option as opposed to a community college:)

i actually cant due to buget cuts there is no summer school for algebra2 or chemistry
