<p>first some background of my story
I messed up big time in high school, but ive had a steep upward trend and I know im very smart, however my test scores aren't exactly great. So my plan is to attend a university and do very good, than transfer</p>
<p>OK now the question</p>
<p>UCF is my top choice, but they accepted for summer (I applied fall). I think that's perfectly fine, but my family is practically begging to apply and attend a different school.
the other school (FAU) Ive never visited so I cant judge the campus, but ive never really looked into or cared about that school ..
I really want UCF but my family wants a different school

<p>If your parents are paying for some/most/all of this, visit FAU.</p>
<p>If you are going to attend a different school, I would visit UNF. They have stronger academics than FAU and would be a better school to go to if you want to transfer to UCF. UNF is supposed to be an up and coming school, and while it is easier to get accepted into than UCF, I think their academics are comparable to that of UCF. If distance is a factor, and you want to be in south Florida, USF is also a good school to consider.
I went through the college applications process last year, and my advice is to apply to as many schools as you are interested in, because you never know what you might find out about a school between now and when you make your decisions, and what scholarships a school might offer you.</p>
