what should i do

i need to know the pros and cons of having a dual degree in architecture/civil engineering opposed to just architecture

For many schools (especially those which offer the b.Arch), I would think it would be nearly impossible to receive
both an architecture and civil engineering degree in the expected amount of time it would take for just the architecture degree. The time commitment and rigor that comes with the architecture degree is very great, and I would think you would be better off excelling at one focus than trying to figure out how to accomplish both of them. Then again, I know many schools that offer a bachelors of science which a major in architecture also encourage for you to get a civil engineering degree at the same time, and if you really want to have that experience, I suggest looking to schools that specifically mention that.

I’m not sure how a civil engineering degree would help you career-wise, but I can assume it would only help you broaden your potential in the job market.
