Okay well to start off i had an overall GPA of 2.9 sophmore year. This year(my Jr.) i have an overall academic gpa of 2.5. What are my chances of getting into San fransico state or san jose state university? as far as extracurricular i have been working since 8th grade because my family is not rich. i have started my own club, started an online business, and take martial arts.

Now i have a couple of options i can try to take classes at my local community college and hope that , it gets weighted in with my overall gpa and even with that i will just have a 2.9 gpa. and hope that i get accepted into irvine or riverside. MY sat scores are around 1600-1700 ( new system)?

Now if i deciede to go the calstate route should i just not bother to try and study for SAT subject tests and SAT anymore ? this problem has been killing me and i have no one to talk too ! you opinion will be of great appreciation to me.

well it was basically like i was selling webspace and doing graphic design while building websites, my friend did the php and all the working and i helped with layout and graphics and just managing everything. but it pretty much failed because a few of my other friends werent really commited so we never really got anywhere only a few people.

Check out these sites which lists requirements for various Cal State Universities, including freshman GPA and test score combinations needed to get in:

Presuming that you have a 2.7 GPA and a two score SAT (Critical Reading plus Math score) of at least 740 you can apply. With your 1100 two score total, your work experience, and your other ECs, you should get in easily.

Once in, just make sure you put in the time necessary to get decent enough grades so you do well in business once you graduate. It also makes it easier to get a good job.
