Hopefully I don’t get any hate from this, because I can’t handle it right now. I would just like some advice. I scored a 3 on my AP World exam, but I felt like I did better. I was really confident and I hardly had any troubles during the FRQs. I didn’t feel perfect on the MC, but I knew most of the content. I didn’t leave anything blank and I followed the rubric for both the DBQ and the LEQ. Honestly, I feel like I deserved a 4 at the very least. I know it sounds kind of ridiculous, but I was wondering if I should do a rescore on the MC? (I know that my score may change for the better or for worst and that I have to pay $30.) I have stayed up countless hours, read books, attended teacher review sessions, and passed the class with A’s, which is why I feel this way. (Like I’ve mentioned before, no hate please.)
Firstly, I would just like to say that a 3 isn’t in any way a bad score and that you shouldn’t stress about it. Hey, you actually passed the exam!
Based on the fact that you said that you didn’t feel like you did perfect on the MC, I personally wouldn’t recommend doing a rescore unless you feel absolutely confident that your performance on the MC was higher than what the score reflects and that there’s no chance that you were lacking in other areas such as your SAQ’s, LEQ, and DBQ.
Also, I would like to just add that unless you’re looking to earn world history credits in college, this score won’t really matter that much. Nowadays, AP scores don’t play a huge role in admissions (only the grade in the class does) and are almost solely used for placement in classes.
