What should I do??????????????

Ok, I haven't started studying yet, but I am on Chpt. 38 of The American Pageant. I don't think I'll be able to finish both books so should I just finish the American Pageant and then review what ever is left, or should I just skip those and try to read my review book as fast as possible?

I have the Kaplan's book and an old PR review book.

Thanks.

I forgot how many chapters are in the american pageant book seeing as how I haven't opened it in weeks ... but it has about 40-something right? You don't have that much to go, and present stuff will only appear very few times on the MC, so I would go ahead and just read the review books. good luck =)

I'm thinking about just reading up the 80's and then reading the review books. Right now I'm at the beginning of the 70's.

I guess I'm just afraid that they put the DBQ on Clinton or something, or Bush Senior.

To anyone who's taking AP Exam for US History, I strongly recommend REA.
So start memorizing REA. Forget about the Pageant; you don't have enough time on your hands.

Is this the right REA book?

thats the one I have.

Too late for me to get that book. The only reason why I'm even considering finishing Pageant is because I have gotten so far. I talked to my teacher and he said that I should just read up to Regan and then go right on to the review book.

There are outlines availabel for the Pageant online. Just google 'AP US History notes'. I got a 5 with them.

Also, there have been very few questions past 1970 on most exams.

Although I consider myself to be 'kickass' in History, I do not feel confident in studying the online outlines solely. I am no super genius.

Whar, what if they decide to change it or something, I don't know, I guess I'm just being paranoid. I want to be able to handle any FRQ/DBQ they throw at me.

isnt it true that no dbq will deal solely with the period after 1970? can anyone confirm this?

i'm pretty sure andrea's right about the dbq's and the '70s. it will help you to know about the '70s, but i was able to get a 5 last year and didn't know much about the last 3 or so decades. but i'm positive my score was based largely on luck.. so try to know at least the basics if you have time.
