What should I do?

So... my April ACT breakdown:

E: 35
M: 33
R: 33
S: 24
C: 31

Should I retake this? It was my second test (I would have a 32 superscored composite). I am planning on applying to Northwestern, American, UNC, and Mizzou.

Thanks.

Science is a killer… It depends on the rest of your stats. You’re already competitive at those schools, but you also have a composite that’s two points or more below 3 out of your four section scores. If you’re willing to work hard to improve on science then it’s probably worth retaking because it could help you at Northwestern.

Ouch. That Science section really hurt didn’t it?
Well a lot of people I know with 32’s have gotten into NU easy… The Science portion looks a bit weak in comparison to the other portions - that’s the only reason I would consider retaking it. But again, if your ECs and GPA are strong I’d say that a 31 is fine.

American does not superscore the ACT. I was told that at the information session. I think a lot of SAT-prominent schools do not superscore the ACT.

Yeah, my GPA’s a little below par for NU. Should I just leave the ACT as is and compensate in the SAT IIs? My first choice is Medill at NU (early decision), by the way.

Bump.

10char

Retake it… that science score really kills your composite.

If you even get it up a few points your composite might go up.
