Ok, in a matter of a few days I'll be attending fordham as one of the income CBA freshman.
The question, what should I do if I want to drop out of CBA..?
I know it's really late to ask this~ I've been thinking for a long time, just finally decided to do liberal arts instead (and I think i'll be majoring in economics)..
So...do you know who should I talk to when I get there on Sunday?

First of all, relax. You will get your class schedule on Sunday after Mass and the Barbecue. CBA kids all have to take the same freshmen classes anyway, so you wont be getting into your major just yet. Next, you will be assigned a freshman advisor who can assist you, and also a bunch of people in your dorm (RA’s and student advisors) can also give you advice. But really, you can take your time with this decision. Some kids fulfill their interest in liberal arts, from within CBA, by a minor or double major or just picking up extra electives. Then again, some kids are very certain they would be happier at FCRH and pursuing another major besides business/acct/finance. Fordham will accomodate you.

thank you sooo much!!! I was a bit freaked out because one of CBA’s letters said that schedule changes would be really limited. My intention to switch to liberal arts is that I don’t want to spend time on certain CBA requirements though =.= you know, like acct and business mathmatics and stuff ( so there’s such a thing? huh) …Really want to spend undergraduate years getting educated…so~ thanks a lot, I’ll sure figure it out on Sunday : )

Also, I was surfing the economics department website, and…, does Life Science mean biology? :

There is always a letter about limited schedule changes, but it does happen, both at CBA and at FCRH. But you gotta be fast. Lots of kids are professor shopping looking to avoid hard classes. (To me that is a tragedy, because sometimes the hard professors are the best professors and you learn more.)

CBA core requirements parallel FCRH core requirements, but they are not identical…though many are the same and you will have kids from both colleges in your classes, particularly first semester of freshman year.

The thing is, don’t make any rash decisions now. Talk to people during orientation, talk to your advisor (there are required meetings with him/her), RA etc and get a better feel for what you are doing and where you are going.

Some kids change from Lincoln Center to Rose Hill and vice versa. Its not very common, but it happens.

Lots of FCRH kids take Economics for their social science requirements too. CBA kids don’t really start peeling off into their own world until sophomore year. But there are CBA kids with a minor in languages, or history, or economics or double major. So its sort of up to you. Its all going to work out just fine. And orientation is also a lot of fun.

good luck.
