what should I do?

I have always struggled in school. When I was in elementary school I was pulled from mainstream classes and put in a learn at your own pace almost special needs type of class. I sometimes need a little more attention then other students and need things explained very clearly for me to be able to do an assignment to this day. I was never formally tested for a learning disability, although my parents and teachers suspected I have dyslexia or something similar, because they assumed I would be "to smart" to test. I was always able to figure out ways to cope, using little tricks to keep my problems from bothering me. I am 22 and in college and I am so frustrated. I feel like I work so much harder then other students and I always try to be honest with professors and dont play games to get ahead. I am trying to transfer out of community college and nothing is working cause my GPA just isnt high enough. Im upset cause I did work hard for my grades. I was wondering if I should consider being tested. In the past I didnt want to, it was a sort of pride thing but now I am to the point that I think it may be my only answer for help.

Yes, get tested! When you have an understanding of what is causing your learning difficulties, then you will be able to decide how to proceed. Don’t wait any longer; get tested!
