I want to thank my teachers and my counselor for writing my reccomendations. What have you (if you have) gotten as a token for your teachers.

I bought harvard mugs for my guidance counselor and the teachers who wrote my recommendations.

yeah i want to get my counselor something too but dont know what...

Giftcards for Barnes & Noble or Borders or local bookstore or mall or even Costco are always useful.
We'll soon be buying some gifts as well but haven't decided either. Hmmm. I'll ask my sister who is a tutor & also has a graduating senior & graduating law student!

We baked a home made apple pie for each one. They were greatly appreciated.

whatever it is, make sure its something your teacher can and will actually USE. my parents are both teachers... oh, the crap they get every year!

personal suggestion: $20 gift certificate to a fairly nice restaurant.

See's Chocolate

If you're going to give food, be sure it's something the recipients like & will use. If you give See's or other chocolate & the recipient returns it, it's thrown away & the store issues a gift certificate because it can't resell the candy. Gift certs at restaurants or shopping malls or bookstores might be safer.

Haha thats a good idea.... though it will take on a different meaning for me considering I'm going to Duke and both of the teachers that wrote my recs are UNC grads...

haha so they'll appreciate the irony :)

well, what you should get them depends...
If I had gotten into my first choice college, I would have definitely considered arranging a weekend holiday in Hawai for them.

to denizco: are you really that rich or are you kidding?

lol I was just kidding :0

I never thought of giftcards... thanks :D
