What should I major in with Econ?

I am currently an Econ major and I have a spanish minor. I want to add another subject, would it be better to double major Econ with statistics or to minor in compsci?
My options:

  1. Econ Major + Stats Major + Spanish Minor
  2. Econ Major + Comp Sci Minor + Spanish Minor
    thanksss

Is there a data science or data analytics option? That would be a middle ground between stats and CS, and probably the most useful in terms of skill-sets that will dovetail with econ. Between your two options, I’d go with stats (major or minor) unless you have a very specific desire to pursue CS.

I concur with the above. Option #1 appears better for most purposes. Nonetheless, you would benefit from taking one or more courses in computer science regardless.

You are a Junior in college ? Do you have time to add a major ?

What’s the purpose ? What’s the goal here?

CS will be more valuable than stats but does it interest you ? You can probably get stats exposure in some of your Econ electives.

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish job wise but Econ and Econ/stats will likely get you a similar outcome.

Do you intend to go to grad school for Econ? If so, then math. Preferably a double major if you can do it.

If no grad school then CS. Anything data related.

Accounting would be option three.
