I don't know what I should major in and im a senior.
I'm not a very social person (shy)
I'm not bad at math but I'm not great
I don't like geometry or trig, algebra is good
I'm better at english but my essays aren't great (they're good just not great)
I'm not interested in the medical field, or law
I'm not interested in history either
I do like reading books for fun
I do want to help people

I'm too average at most subjects (though i've taken honors and ap for math, english, and history in the last 3 years) and nothing has really gotten my attention

what other majors should i consider?

It doesn’t really matter if you’re average – interest is the most important thing.

Can you tell us anything about where you want to see yourself in 7 years? What type of people you’re helping, etc?

I’d also recommend taking a look at a list of majors from any college to maybe spark some ideas. Look around and just try to find classes/majors/areas that interest you. That’s what it all comes down to.

Random suggestions… Philosophy is awesome. Are you interested in psychology maybe? If you want to help people you could be a counselor or therapist of some type. Or perhaps education and be a teacher? You didn’t mention science? But maybe engineering since you’re pretty good at math. Then there’s always business.

Wow you sound just like me!! It’s so funny how my friends know exactly what they want to do & I don’t.

Maybe something that prepares you well for a MA in Library Science? Seriously, try to work on your shyness - you may never be a very social person but an ability to effectively interact with co-workers and the public is extremely important.
