I'm a rising senior and have no idea what I want to study in college. I am pretty good at all subjects but don't enjoy anything particularly more than another. I've always been good at math and English as well as science (although I do not like chemistry much) but dislike history (I'm not bad at it I just don't enjoy it). I'm not artsy so none of that interests me. I'd like to make a decent amount of money because I've always been poor and want to have a better life. Any suggestions based on my limited information? Sorry about that.

Bump

With the cautionary note that no one expects you to know what you want to do, I would suggest you look into statistics. I took AP stats and found it to be a good mix of math and writing (communicating ideas effectively and concisely, etc). Depending on what you’re doing stats for, it’s really interdisciplinary - it has applications to engineering, medicine, psychology, biology, etc. I found it to be a good mix of math, science, and writing… According to the BLS website, statisticians are in high demand (27% growth rate) and have an excellent average salary (75k+ per year). Unlike a lot of math/science fields, you also don’t have to get a PhD, which is a plus
So yeah, if you can take a stats class anywhere, I’d highly recommend it!

Thanks @LAMuniv , I will look into that. I don’t expect people to be able to know what I want to do, rather give me suggestions like you did. Thank you.

I entered college as an undeclared major. For 5 (ish) months, I observed which classes I did well at, which classes sounded interesting in my mind, which classes I had trouble with, etc. I made a list of traits and reasons why I preferred certain classes over others. I talked with my upperclassmen about their majors and what type of person I was to them. Then I did research on majors offered by my college (science). After all that effort, I decided to declare a major based off what I learned about myself.

Right now CS is what’s paying the most so look into that.

Astrophysics. Its pretty cool.

or maybe aerospace engineering!

Go to URochester and quadruple major
