I'm planning on going to dental school and I recently realized that majors don't matter too much.
So here are the list of majors that I've come up with..
Design
English (Creative writing) (Literature, criticism, and theory)
East Asian Studies
Economics
Sociology
Philosophy

Don’t most people choose hard sciences if they are going to dental school?

You should choose something that you can get a job with if your plans to go to dental school fall through.

I have to think dental school admission is same as med school and med schools simply do not care what you major in. Majors are a personal preference. I suspect dental schools care a great deal about how you do GPA wise in your predent, GE, and major reqs. Most premeds and I suspect predents end up bio majors as you can kill two birds with one stone (predent reqs/major reqs) at same time whereas with say a psych major you’ll have to work harder to fit in predent reqs in with GEs/major reqs. Choose a major that you find interesting/enjoy as you’re more likely to get better grades if you actually like material. Also gearmom’s suggestion above about a Plan B is a really good idea.

factually-ingrained educational-engagements are [prevalently] unavailing and [indisputably] unrewarding… the trends [compellingly] indicate that the mathematically-entrenched interdisciplinary application-enterprising vocations are by far the most personally providential and professionally propitious — economics in its pure and applied configuration satisfies this stipulation [at hand] …however, you may also want to contemplate computer programming and/or mechanical engineering.
