I’m a rising senior in HS this year and I don’t know what I should put down for as a major/what type of school I should apply to. As a career path I would like to help developing countries grow their economies and catch up to the rest of the world with new tech. I have several areas of interests, including: International affairs, economics, computers/technology, languages, human geography, to name a few. I don’t know if I should go the business path or not as an undergrad, but I hope to get a masters eventually. Any advice is much appreciated, thanks!
You can always apply to college undecided, or you can put down the major you are most aligned with right now and change your mind later.*
The exception, of course, is if you are applying to universities where you have to be admitted to a specific school or even a specific major. Computer science is the only one on your list that usually is impacted and requires a specific school/application (although, depending on the school, international affairs may be too - but that’s at schools like Georgetown or American).
Economics sounds like a good fit for your interests!
