What should I major in?

<p>I know that the UCs claim that they don't accept a student partly because of the major they choose on their application, although I have seen it happen (one of my friend sisters got into UCLA with a 3.5, 2 AP classes, and a 1100 SAT score --out of 1600). </p>

<p>Should I apply in astrophysics because it is less impacted then say....biology and then just do the pre-med requirements?</p>

<p>Transferring within a College of Letters and Sciences at a UC is incredibly simple, so there is no reason they would note majors in admissions decisions, as everyone would simply put astrophysics of something.</p>

<p>Put whatever you want - it won't matter.</p>
