Hello, my school requires us to minor in something else along with our major. I have selected marketing as a major for now, and have space in my schedule to take one more class. I thought it would be a good idea to take a class that could possibly become my minor. I thought I would do economics, but I’ve taken it before in high school and did not like it very much, so I decided that minoring in something like that wouldn’t be a good idea.
Here’s the list my school provided: https://business.gwu.edu/sites/business.gwu.edu/files/downloads/Minors_outside_of_GWSB_OCT-2015-3-1.pdf
Marketing nowadays is often statistics driven, so that a background in statistics is expected to find internships and good jobs.
So, minor in statistics and try to get the highest possible grades. Even if you took AP stats, start with the first statistics class as AP stats doesn’t necessarily cover everything your college covers (compare 1051 and 1111).
Thank for the replies! i gave it more thought, and I think I might want to head into either the advertising of public relations aspect of marketing. Would a double minor in communications and graphic design be okay for this?
