I need to choose one more class to take next year. Because more elite colleges are still a possibility, I was thinking I should probably add another AP. Does anyone have any ideas for what class I could take? My school offers most AP classes, but I probably don’t want to take something as hard as AP Physics, but also not a complete joke class like AP environmental. But maybe I’m wrong haha. Give me your thoughts! Thanks.

I take IB Physics SL and I can tell you for the most part its easy. I don’t know how AP physics is tho. If I where you tho I would take in more AP classes. In my school every one who is in Honors takes at least 4 AP/IB classes by their Junior year.

You probably won’t want to do AP Physics and Honors Chemistry in one shot. BUT you are doing Calculus now so you might be better off doing Physics now. No matter what you’ll have to squeeze it in somewhere. I can’t really give you an idea of what to take because I don’t know what AP’s your school offers. However here’s loads of suggestions (a history or social science would fit in nicely since you don’t have one yet in your schedule):

AP European History
AP Psychology
AP Government (either one)
AP Human Geography (I don’t honestly know the quality of this AP–someone else might be able to comment)
AP Environmental Science (Don’t bash it; it’s alright)
AP Macroeconomics
AP Microeconomics
AP Statistics
AP Computer Science (if you’re into computers)

Does your school offer and AP Euro, Gov, or Econ course? Otherwise Stat, Comp Sci, AP Envi Sci, AP Psych would be fine. As long as you’re taking your core subjects (why not AP Chem) at the highest level, anything else is bonus. It’s fine if you take Environmental Science over Physics.

Agree that an AP social studies course would balance out your year. Personally, I would suggest either AP World, AP US, or AP Euro.
