Hi, I am a Sophomore in High School. I am currently in AP World History, AP Language and Composition, Honors Pre Calc, and Honors Chemistry. I need 4 credits in math, science, and english, but I don’t know if I should take AP Statistics or AP Calc BC first, and I have no idea what AP science class I should take. I have been told to take AP Physics 1 for my Junior year. If I do that, can I take AP Physics 2 Senior year? Also, I am going to take AP Lit my Junior year, so what do I do Senior year? I didn’t think there were any AP English classes after AP Lit. Can somebody please clear some stuff up for me? Thanks.
I would say take AP Calc BC first, even though you don’t need it to go onto AP Stats. How is it possible that you’re taking AP Lang sophomore year and AP Lit junior year? Don’t you need four years of English to graduate? Have you taken any foreign language classes yet? Or perhaps a visual/performing arts class that many colleges require (as well as the foreign language). It seems like you would have to take a CP Senior-level English class in your senior year, seeing as you’ve run out of AP English classes to take. As for the sciences, are you really interested in physics? Do you have an idea of what you’re interested in majoring in?
My plan is to go to Texas A&M as an Engineering major and join the ROTC Program to become an officer in the military. I want to take physics but I didn’t know if AP Physics 1 requires any previous physics experience, as I have none. I am also in Spanish and Religion but I didn’t think that was important to mention. My teachers have told me I will have to take college English class senior year, but I don’t know how that works. Should I also take AP Comp Sci to get that visual/performing arts class you speak of? Texas A&M only requires 4 credits in Math, Science, and English and 2 credits in a Foreign Language.

You don’t need any prior physics experience in order to take AP Physics I.
