I understand that its very important to answer all of the essay questions as honestly as possible, but i have a small dilemma. For the activities essay it asks to write about the most meaningful activity to you, which for me running cross country. BUT I already wrote about cross country for my personal statement, and I dont want to come off as one dimensional. Would it be better to write about something else or stick with cross country. (I am not going to be recruited.) Thanks for everyones help!

what else are you considering writing about? i had written both a football long essay an a football short esay, and i eventually changed the long essay, but it was not because i was worried about coming off as 1-dimensional

If you are focusing on two different aspects of running, I think it would be ok, but as a whole, I think it would be a little risky to double up...That's just me though.

For example, if running brought your family closer together somehow, and that makes it meaningful for you, and for the long one you have a pic of you running and talk about how life is like running a race, I think that's fine.

Thanks for the replies! I dont think i will be writing about running for both. i probably will write about a school club i founded instead. :)

Stanford likes to see people with a passion.............they say a multitude of activities is worse than 1 dedicated one.
