I got this e-mail from Tulane today:

"Tulane University sustained some damage as a result of Hurricane Katrina. While the damage is serious, all Tulane University students, faculty and staff are safe - a direct result of the quality of the Tulane emergency planning process that has been in place for several years.

While it will take several months for Tulane to make all necessary repairs and resume operations, we will restart admission outreach activities on Tuesday, September 6 in all areas except those directly affected by Hurricane Katrina. Unless you have received notice to the contrary, all events scheduled for your area will take place as scheduled.

All of us are concerned about conditions in New Orleans as our friends and neighbors struggle with the aftermath of this devastating storm. While many questions remain unanswered and the city faces a long road to recovery, we are absolutely certain of one answer - Tulane will continue to be one of the best institutions in America.

Thank you for your patience during this trying time. We will be sending more information to you as it becomes available.

Sincerely,

Richard Whiteside, Ph.D.
Vice President for Enrollment Management
Tulane University
6823 St. Charles Avenue
New Orleans, LA 70118"

It doesnt say anything about the process itself, but I am guessing we can start sending our stuff in as soon as the server is back up. Its a good thing they conduct most of the admissions process online...
