So 1. the desks were AWFUL. no writing space, right handed desks, and I'm left handed --. I asked them if there was anything they could do and my rude proctor's response was "life isn't fair. go take a hike kid." -____________-
2. the proctor gave us almost a minute less on every section... like he said start when the clock was 50 seconds past the minute he would write as our start time... didn't really bother me for the first three sections b/c i always finish with ample time... but I didn't finish 2 science questions :((

So should I like report this to ACT? My score was probably not actually that bad; it just could have been better. What are my options and what are their consequences?

**** yes! You are supposed to be alotted the EXACT amount of time. No more and no less. If you can have some other students who took the test back you up, you could definitely get a refund or be allowed to retake the test for free. What a ■■■■■■■ of a proctor.

^ Whoa, calm down there, buddy. OP, I understand what you mean about the desk situation because I am, too, left handed, but really think this through. Is it worth the difficulty of going through the process for a two questions you were unable to finished because of 50 seconds? I’m not saying nothing was done wrong, but sometimes it’s easier to let bygones be bygones. There’s no use for being picky about little things suh as seats. No school desk is going to be comfortable after 4 hours. Every test I get out of my lower back is sore, but I don’t say this affected my test score this way so I should report this. Just think this through.

The problem is that I was aiming for a 36 and I’m relatively certain I did achieve that in Eng/ & Reading, and probably got a 35 in math… If i get below a 35 in science (I will, since i didn’t finish), it would ruin my chance at a 36 (fyi I got a 35 in science in feb)

Also, the desk situation was just frustrating. The timing situation was, honestly, grounds for a misadministration. I had 40 seconds less on science than I should have, 40 seconds that would’ve at least allowed me to make a good guess.

When you register for the ACT there’s an option to make sure you’ll have a left handed desk correct?

That’s one grounds to contact ACT.

If the proctor was off on the timing (don’t mention you’re score) just mention that each section was off by a minute and that it clearly differed from what the clock said.

if you’re a guy and the proctor was a hot girl, don’t report it, use it to your advantage. Vice versa. To be honest, report it, create some trouble, not for the sake of the two questions you missed, but simply for creating some harm.

P.S. THIS GIRL, who was black (no offence, only detail), who sat in front of me was so *#$@ loud and obnoxious. she stamped her feet every sec, SHE TALKED SO FREAKING LOUD DURING BREAK, O MY GOD, I WANTED TO SMACK HER, i wanted to kick her chair as revenge. O MY GOD, THE ANNOYANCE, i think this negatively impacted my score, and the next time I see her, I’ll make sure she pays.

regarding color identification-are u serious? maybe if I didn’t include the brackets, people won’t mind. Just oh my god, the next time I see obesity, I have to call the person horizontally superior.
She did not just talk loud during break, she was talking so much before the exam. it was noise to me, do u understand? Aside from this, she tapped her feet during the exam. and the DESKS WERE NOT 3 FEET APART. IT WAS LIKE TAPPING RIGHT BESIDE MY EAR.
My message was intended to ■■■■■.
u have to broaden your scope. See the sarcasm, see the relation.

Dude calm down. I’m not offended or anything so you need to ■■■■■ harder next time. I never knew the desks had to be three feet apart. That happened to me once when I was taking a practice test at a seminar. One of the girls started popping her gum and sighing every other minute. I wanted to flip the table that I was using.
