What should you do if your school doesn't allow self-study?

What shoud you do if your school doesn't let you take the exams even though you self-studied. I'm worried that I won't be able to take the exams. I have a bit of experience with the staff at the school, but they are a bit stingy and I don't really like them much. Could I take it at another school without their knowledge? Thanks

well regardless you will have to put your school code on the forms, so the school WILL get your scores. I dont think they can prevent you from taking AP exams, even if that means you will have to go off site.

They have the authority to not let you take the exam? Maybe they just won't pay for it (if your school does... mine, they charge extra money and make a profit).

My school didn't know you could do that. I found out I was the first to do self-study.

kinglin my school was confused too. Some kids do directed study at my school, but never self study, that is, without having any instruction on the course from a teacher.

Take them at another school and tell your school officials to go screw themsleves.

How can they possibly tell you that you can't take it? They're not the ones paying for it. It's none of their business!
