What should you wear on move in day?

Don't want to sound weird asking this but what should you wear on move in day. I would assume khaki shorts because it's your first day and you want to look presentable but I've heard that you are moving all over the place and its better to wear gym shorts?

Just be clean and comfortable, wear something that can get sweaty. You’ll probably be doing a lot of work, carrying things upstairs, unpacking, moving your furniture around etc. you may wish to change into something nicer after you are done moving in, if you have a floor meeting or orientation event later.

Jeans and a shirt. Just be comfortable. No one remembers what you wear on move in day.

Move in day can be messy…you are moving and cleaning and unpacking. It will probably be warm. Wear shorts that you can work in. Change later when you go around to meet people.

Shorts and a loose t-shirt. Gym shorts are fine! Khakis are fine. Just make sure you suitable for work and the weather. Depending on wear you live, you will be sweating bullets.

Agree with the sweat part. Even if you live in a colder climate, you will likely be hauling boxes and things for some distance.

Of course, if you are lucky (rich) enough to afford a staff to do the moving…where whatever you like.

I wore gym shorts and a loose T shirt, then changed once I was done and had cooled off.
