What Size Envelope?

What size envelope does Wake use for RD acceptances and rejections? Is there any way to tell by looking at the evelope. D is away and I promised not to open her mail.

Mine was just in a regular sized envelope. I didn't really know what it was--I thought it was that I forgot my mother's maiden or something. it was pretty thin. Also it will be from the Admissions rather than from Financial Aid.

Willmingtonwave- get to work!:) MOM

willmingtonwave - did you get your decision yet? if so, when did you get it?

Willmingtonwave had an ED acceptance.

I don't know if the ED letters are the same as the RD ones though. I don't know if there is a way to tell, it all depends on whether they send all the information with the package or just a letter telling you more things are in the mail.

DS was accepted five years ago, and his letter came in a small (letter-sized) envelope - don't know if that's still the case. merblajam - did a letter come today, or are you just getting prepared for when one does? If you did get a letter today, where do you live in relation to WFU? Good luck to everyone!

My RD acceptance last year was in a regular business sized envelope, so don't automatically think "oh crap, bad news" if you see a regular envelope. I think pretty much all they include is the acceptance letter and an invitation to an accepted students open house in April.

If you're accepted and decide to attend, they'll send you further information in three separate packets later in the summer (about one a month).

there is an envelope for me from Wake Forest sitting in my house and I'm at work until 9....

I asked my mom NOT to tell me if there was anything and when she called me, my sister called on the other line and I overheard all of her end of the conversation: "Does it say 'Congratulations on it??"

great. 5 hours to dwell.

be sure to let us know Eckie!

While I'd encourage you all to be optimistic, I got waitlisted with a 2120 SAT & 4.2 GPA.

how did you find out already, I thought you were at work.

sorry to hear that Eckie. There is still hope :) Good luck with UPenn!

i got waitlisted at vandy today...hopefully good news will come from wake soon crosses fingers

also Eckie where are you from

My mom brought the letter to work. I cried. At work. it was messy.

Although Wake wasn't my first choice, it was still a HUGE blow, especially because I was a good match, at least judging by former average stats. Plus, I was waiting to visit until after I knew, so my opinion could have changed. But now we'll never know.

3.64 UW / 4.2 W GPA
Top 15% of my class
1340 (M + CR) / 2120 SAT
Very good essays, 5 AP classes by the end of high school. Student at a competitive Catholic school in MD.

Yea, it was totally out of left field

It'll all work out for the best Eckie.

Yeah, don't worry about it. It is just really competitive this year, but you obviously are a qualified applicant and there is still a very good chance you'll get in. I remember several people got in last year off waitlist. You'll be happy wherever you wind up anyway. Good luck :)

One of my best friends got her rejection letter today. As far as I know she had pretty good stats (definitely top 10%). I still haven't gotten my letter. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Needless to say, I'm getting a little antsy.
