What sort of score will I get next time?

I just took my very first SAT test. I have never taken a test like this before and didn't revise at all. My score was:

Math: 610 ( disappointed with this )
CR: 580
Writing: 570
Essay: 10

Total 1760.

I just turned 17 and will take the SAT proper in a years time. ( British intl student) What score do you think I will get next time and what colleges do you think I would have a chance at?

Thanks.

STUDY!!!. If you do not practice, you will not do well.

I know that, yesterday was just a practice. To see if there was any point doing the actual SAT.

If you plan to seek a bachelor’s degree from a university in the United States, you will have to take either the SAT or the ACT. However, there are a few exceptions.

What kind of question is this?

Well, the mean improvement is like 8 points per section, although there have certainly been tales of large improvements from those who studied.

EDIT: ↓ that gives me hope too. :)

^ignore that

You can easily get 2000-2100.

570W (10E) means that made many mistakes on the MC section. This can be easily improved. The average person is capable of around 750 regardless of where they started, so +200pts here.

610M is kind of low, but I would look over your mistakes and IDENTIFY your weaknesses. You can easily raise this to high 600s. +60 pts

580CR is kind of low too, but after studying vocab and understanding that ALL of the correct answers are supported with the text you can get this to high 600s. + 100pts

net +360

Final:2120!!

that all depends on how hard you study

your score isn’t going to magically increase by 300 points in one year if you don’t study

When I first took a practice SAT, I got a depressing 1860.

A year later, with some cramming the week before, and an actual test later (got a 2110), I got a 2220 on my second actual test (I took the SAT twice). :]

It is possible to increase your score, but I can’t tell you to what number, because I don’t know anything about your study habits. However, just know that it is possible. :]
