What sounds right? UMiami or SMU! CRUNCHTIME

I want a school that is private and has a smaller size yet has alot of opertuntiies and aspects of a bigger school.

I there to be a definite college feel and lots of spirit, as well as a great social life and alot going on. Including a vibrant greek life that I would want to be a part of.

I am a liberal person, and really consider myself open minded to all different types of people.

Oh and I'm from FL, so staying in FL is sort of a turn off but Miami seems like a great place with alot going for it.

I used to always think I'd go out West for college, and the way things turned out this really didn't seem like the time to do that. I want to openmindedness and liberal thinking, as well as lifestyle that many have out West and some of the aspects of the South such as Frats and Sports.

I'm really thinking Miami may be a better fit, but let me know what you think.

I wouldn’t consider SMU full of liberal thinkers. It has the Greek life, but athletics have taken a tumble in recent decades.
You said you like a smaller school, but you might be happier at a large state university- maybe Arizona or Colorado. Not sure of your academic profile, but Vanderbilt has a lot going on and a big Greek scene.
