What Sources of Music do you use?

Every Wednesday on our local classical station they have something called “the piano puzzler” where the pianist composes a piece using a familiar tune in the style of a classical composer. It’s fun to see if we can guess. I often hear the piece, I’m not so good at identifying the composer. On Saturday they have an hour long show called “The Intimate Guitar” which are all pieces featuring classical guitar. I was a bit of a (poor) audiophile in the 1980’s and still have most of my equipment I purchased back then. We listen the radio with dinner, radio or CDs while casually listening and stream when we want to hear something different or something we don’t have the source for. I’ll listen to records when I want to just sit and listen (usually at higher volumes) or merely feel nostalgic. Listening to any source radio, streaming etc. is nice because it can be done while you are doing other things. TV requires too much involvement for me and unless I have the time to focus on it is a time waster.

I’m not ChoatieMom, but I’d recommend some Bill Evans. Try the Waltz For Debby album for starters.
