One of my former friends got recruited for their Track Team and he got a letter of intended acceptance.

How about music?

doubt they’d recruit for music but I could be wrong

haha Harvard was recruiting me, but alas, I found the west coast to be the best coast ;-)

Anyway, I don’t know much about recruiting for thinks like music, but I do know that athletic recruiting is incredibly unique. It’s an incredibly long, arduous process - lots of playing people, and being played by people.

A few of my friends committed to H, and already have their “Likely Letters,” which is basically an acceptance. I’m pretty sure that it helps if you’re a great tuba player, perse, and their best tuba player just graduated… they’re building a class. This also holds if you send in some great piece of music and the music department just NEEDS you. However, I doubt you would be informed early of your admissions decision, nor would it be “recruitment.” That’s just my two cents :)
