I would say that your EC’s are pretty well rounded and I think that maybe you shouldn’t have to pressure yourself into getting a “perfect” score. Most people stress themselves out over a test and eventually don’t do as well as people who just relaxed and were confident. If you do want to get into those schools you were talking about, I would suggest a 93 minimum average

One month later and I still crack a smile when I see the title of this thread.

Hotchkissjin, where you talking about me? sorry I am all confuzzled. :)

Alright, I took the ISEE this saturday and got the scores back.
Let’s just say they were all 95%-99%, inclusive.
My scaled scores were all in the 900’s. How will this look, compared to my previous SSAT scores? (Theoretically, of course.)

err, bump?

Yup, it’s time for a bump and the verdict is the same: the question asked in the title of this thread still has 4 out of 5 CCer’s pleading with their monitors, “Ooooh, ooooh! I know, I know! Call on me!”

You know, maybe if I was around 18 I would get that. 0o
But seriously doesn’t that look weird --

OK and uh could someone tell me the admission fee for Deerfield? I kinda didn’t send it in with my application. Thanks.

You should shoot for a 100…oh, wait a minute, that’s too high! It all depends if you want to blend in or stand out. ;)

Vaizard…I don’t think Deerfield has an application fee. i never saw anything saying about a fee. i could be wrong too. Lets hope not, I’m applying too

You should both contact Deerfield to ask about the fee. I would be surprised to learn that they have no fee.

Deerfield’s fee for domestic students is $40. $100 is for international students. This was written on the last page of the formal application.

oopsy daisy

so i got my SSAT scores back the other day, and i received a 98 in reading, 96 in verbal, but a 74 in math. i still got a 97 overall (which i am ecstatic about), but is that math score going to kill me? i really want to go to andover, do you think it will hurt me? my interview went well and i really like my essay, but i dont have too many extracurricular (i have theater for 8 years, but not too much after that. a couple years of sports and i just got involved in Junior State of America). but will the 74 make a big deal?

Vaizard, I have thought long and hard about what ssat you should shoot for, and I’m sure my answer is correct. It’s just like a great day in Vegas at the dollar slots – all 7s! Math 777, verbal 777, reading 777

Not 77th %ile, huh?

ROFL Ok ok I see what a stupid question that was. :)

Well I guess all we can do is wait for March 15…

Or, like, ummm, IDK, March 10? ;)

yeah, admissions people could totally say that. all of mine have told me that or something along the lines of that.

eg: “i think you are an excellent candidate”, “i think you are a very strong candidate and i can see you fitting in and adjusting very well here”

..but, it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. haha
