Montana Gov. has proposed a small increase in educational funding
Wyoming is looking at a surplus and increasing spending
Oregon Gov. has proposed a small increase as well.

It looks like the legislatures are meeting on these budgets and they could be changed to cuts so we will have to wait and see what happens.

Anyone else seeing a budget increase in Education

Pennsylvania doesn’t propose a budget until the beginning of February. In general, it’s a very challenging environment; only the things that are most strongly supported will be proposed to get funding at the same level as this year. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they find some way to propose some kind of increase for education funding at the K-12 level. And the House proposed stimulus bill has significant funding for education.

Connecticut has as state law that limits tuition increases to 15% annually. The head of the largest state university has requested that this cap be eliminated. Says he needs a 32.5% increase to fill the hole created by reduced state support. Hmmm.
