what struck you as most surprising/interesting/awesome when you first visited Yale?

I hate how this is my answer, but I LOVED my tour guide. She's kind of like who I would like to be in four years, and that started my interest in Yale. It was originally just the first stop on my "I-95" tour, but it turned out to be my top choice after figuring out that New Haven isn't deadly and just how awesome the community at Yale is.

Frank Pepe's helped too.

i would have to say the ballin ass security gates. i mean how many schools have straight up steel doors as entryways to their college.
