If I don't get into the Roswell Park program...then I'm stuck going to debate camp and possibly Girl's State....not really up for that....

sighh...RSI was SUCH a great excuse not to go......

ok..thinking positive..I still have a slight chance...maybe...?

Residential.

Residential is so darn competitive, especially if your school ends late, in which you will have to compete for the two installations with late starting dates. Especially if you're Asian male. In other words, even if I'm extremely exceptional, my chances are still slim. So I don't think I'll apply next year since it would be giving my teachers unnecessary trouble.

I emailed them. They said final decisions are made in two weeks, which was frustrating since the website definitely says April 1st. Apparently they're making decisions gradually, though, because they also mentioned that if I were accepted earlier than that, I'd get notification sooner...

I was in the army.
My friend was a mail-order bride.

Vtoodler, there are thousands of programs across the country for gifted students, or not-so-gifted students who can pay for themselves. I found out about the important program I applied to because of my interests. I like Stanford a lot, and I already do research, so I searched "Stanford Summer High School Research"
Lo and behold, I found the place that I am applying to now. If you do a basic search along the "summer high school programs" lines, you'll actually find directories. Not to mention, CC is a great place to find programs. (see above).

yea, i found out about all of these except for two of them on cc -- no lie. rsi, sharp, wtp, cornell nanbiootech and yess were all on cc. ctd i found out through a friend and ysp sent an application to my school and my guidance counselor gave that to me
