You seem to have excellent credentials. I would recommend SUNY Potsdam! I am currently a freshman there and I am having an excellent time. Potsdam is # 2 in the SUNY system for food service! (number 1 is Brockport). You definitely do have a better chance of getting into a SUNY school rather than schools outside of SUNY because you have legacy, which has some weight on your application. Another great thing about Potsdam is there is no application essay required, and they are thinking about making SAT scores optional, so if you don’t do well then you are safe. This would be an excellent safety school. I applied I believe about a year ago to Potsdam and I heard that I got accepted about 2 weeks after I applied! If your parents are paying for college, then you are in luck because Potsdam has its “comprehensive fees” which are included in tuition. Once the bill is payed, you get virtually free laundry, ($100 per semester is given to each student and it is .25 cents per load, so you would have to be doing 400 loads of laundry to cover just 1 semester.) free access to Maxcy Hall fitness center, Free doctors appointments, and other stuff that is already included. You said you had a 3.4 GPA, which is excellent. I would say that would be around a 94 numerically? You can qualify for one of 2 scholarships which are a $1,000 per year scholarship. The minimum GPA is 93. You can also possibly get a free ride, which you need a 93 GPA and very good SAT scores. You can look at all of this on the potsdam website [Welcome to SUNY Potsdam - SUNY Potsdam](http://www.potsdam.edu)

Everyone is friendly at Potsdam so you won’t have a problem making friends. Good luck in your search.
