my dreams schools are UPenn, Brown, Georgetown, UChicago

I need help picking schools that are considered target and safety for me. Someone please help!

thank you so much!

What is your rank, or an approximation of such? If you truly have no clue, then we’ll have to go off the rest. Could you provide more details of your ECs and/or awards? And if you got National Merit Semi-Finalist, you should have a better SAT score…

Anyways, UPenn is probably a high reach for you, as is Brown. Georgetown and UChicago are going to be reaches. For “target”, look towards perhaps Northwestern. And safety is going to be state schools.

We don’t have ranks in our school.
And would schools like amherst and swarthmore and umichigan be my Target or also reaches?

Btw, thanks justanothertry for the reply!

Georgetown is, without a doubt, the best place for International Relations and is probably the best bet for anything that is international in scope.

no idea but I love your screenname  and agree with Hoya that Georgetown is tippytops in IR, but not exactly what I would call a target school

UMich would be a target, Amherst and Swat reaches.

You’d be much better off if you got a 2200+ on your SAT or 34+ on the ACT.
