How does Pomona's system of ED work? Are there about equal chances of getting in for EDI and EDII? Is EDI better? And if you get deferred from EDI, do they move you into the EDII decisions?

EDII is just for those that need more time it is the same chance wise, also some folks may get denied somewhere else EDI and then apply EDII at an alternate school. If deferred EDIyou are defered to RD, not EDII. Best of luck!

Haha that's supposed to be "what's" in the title. I'm from a farming town, not inner-city.
arizonamom- That's what I was hoping to hear. Thanks.

Oh and can one apply EA to a school, and if rejected, send in an EDII application (If the EDII application due date is after the date you were notified of rejection)?

Yes, you can. Good luck!

does pomona favor EDI over EDII applicants?

I'm pretty sure they don't.

One difference b/w EDI and EDII applicants is that the former know earlier in the app process that Pomona is their #1 choice. For some EDII applicants, Pomona may also be #1 but they arrived at that decision later. For others, Pomona was #2 on the list, and they were rejected by their #1 choice to which they had applied either EA or EDI.

Both ED plans demonstrate applicants' desire to attend Pomona. Rather than overanalyzing and trying to outthink the admissions process, do what is best/easiest for you.
