What the difference between Computere science B.S. and B.A

I know that B.S. is for CoE and B.A is for College of letters and arts.
But is there any difference for the computer science as a major?

The CS content is identical between L&S CS and CoE EECS.

If you are primarily interested in CS, you should major in CS.
If you have a significant interest in EE, you should major in EECS.

The main difference is that EECS requires Physics 7A (Mechanics), Physics 7B (Thermodynamics, E&M), Math 53 (Multivariable Calculus), EE 20 (Signals and Systems), and E190 (Technical Writing) whereas L&S CS has more breadth requirements and requires CS 170 (Algorithms) and CS 162 (Operating Systems), which you should be taking regardless of your major if you’re interested in CS. L&S CS also lets you take EE42 instead of EE40 but they’re similar courses and shouldn’t affect your decision.

I think L&S CS is a better option if you are looking to get a double major with something else in L&S. If you want to have more of an engineering background, then choose EECS.
